First Lecture :

The following lecture is the 55th in the series Commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari given by Jamaal Zarabozo in the Islamic Center of Boulder. This particular lecture is a commentary on Chapter Heading #42 of The Book of Faith. The Chapter Heading reads, “The statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), ‘Religion is Naseehah to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Muslim leaders and their general masses.’ And the statement of Allah, ‘If they are sincere to Allah and the Messenger.’”

Hypocrites and Hypocrisy #5

This is the fifth in a series of lectures about hypocrites and hypocrisy. In this lecture, a central issues that faces every Muslim, born-Muslim and convert, is discussed in the light of the question of hypocrisy. Third Lecture August 2007:

Purification of the Soul #7

This is the seventh in a 21-part lecture series on Purification of the Soul. This series is based on the author’s Purification of the Soul: Concept, Process and Means (published by al-Basheer). This particular lecture is in the middle of a number of lectures on the path of purification according to the Quran and Sunnah. In particular, the emphasis in this lecture is on the purification of one’s beliefs, which includes one’s beliefs about Allah, the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and so on. Here the article of faith that is being highlighted is belief in the Divine Decree or al-qadar. The original lecture was over an hour but it has been edited down to its current size for distribution on the al-Basheer website.

Br. Jamaal Zarabozo is a long-time American convert to Islam. He is the author of a number of books, including the three-volume  Commentary on the Forty Hadith of al-Nawawi, How to Approach and Understand the Quran, Purification of the Soul and others.
